We have the majority of our classes on our calendar so that you can register online! If the calendar class is full or you don't see one for a date/time that works for you give us a call 603-593-5073 (or email us at info@TerrapinGlass.com) and we work something out that works for you and fits into our shop schedule. You can request a particular date or range of dates or just tell us the days of week that work best for you. If you do not have enough people in your group to make the minimum number of people requirement then we will do our best to fill the class with other people looking to take the same class.
Here are the days of the week that we typically hold classes:
Glassblowing (ages 7+) ~ Wednesday through Sunday between 10am and 4pm
Flameworking (ages 12+) ~ Thursday, Friday and Saturday between 10am and 4pm
We require full payment to secure your seat in the class. We do take credit and debit cards or you can mail us a check made out to:
Terrapin Glassblowing Studio
79 Hadley Road
Jaffrey, NH 03452
If you have a gift certificate, we follow the same scheduling process.
Note About Cancellations
Our equipment runs on propane, actually lots and lots of propane. In order to operate our equipment we must light up our equipment several hours in advance for it to come up in temperature. For this reason we require 48 hour cancellation notice. We will retain payment for 'no-shows' or last minute cancellations.
If you have a last minute emergency please contact us as soon as possible.
Dress for safety ~ it's all about the heat not the flames!
Avoid wearing synthetic material that may melt or burn.
To protect your skin from the heat of the equipment it is best to wear a long sleeved cotton t-shirt. Layers are optional if you'd like to wear short sleeves with a long sleeved cover-up.
Long pants; preferably not baggy which may catch on equipment. Avoid large metal clips and buckles.
Closed-toe shoes. Sneakers are preferred because they are flexible and have traction to avoid slipping on the cement floor.
If you have long hair please tie it back so that you can see clearly and it doesn't get caught in equipment.
Bring a bottle of water to keep from getting dehydrated.
Sunglasses must be worn at all times to protect your eyes from glass that may shatter in the studio. If you have sunglasses (without metal frames) feel free to bring them, or else we have sunglasses here for you to use.
